Algebra 3-4

We completed approximately 2/3 of the Algebra I review today. Hopefully we'll finish the remaining problems tomorrow as well as go over Self assessment reflections - hopefully an improved and more convenient method for you to submit your reflections. It's also more resource efficient and provides an easier means for me to respond to everyone's SAR. Hope you have a happy Friday!

AG-PC COMAP

Today we got through 7 of 8 group presentations. We need to work on our presentation speaking and audience listening skills. The way in which presentations were given was far from "professional" or even close to "semi-professional". We will have a class discussion regarding what behaviors constitute professional presentation and audience listening.

Aside from that, you all had some great ideas! We'll see how the class votes tomorrow!

In addition to finishing up CHALLENGE #1, tomorrow we will go over Self assessment reflections. Hopefully it's an improved and more convenient method for you to submit your reflections. It's definitely more resource efficient and provides an easier means for me to respond to everyone's SAR. Hope you have a happy Friday!

AG-PC

P5: #'s 5-100 (x5)
P6: #'s 5-105 (x5)

Tomorrow we will go over Self assessment reflections - hopefully improved and more convenient method for you to submit your reflections. It's also more resource efficient and provides an easier means for me to respond to everyone's SAR. Hope you have a happy Friday!

Calculus I

P3 assigned today, question numbers are the same as P2. Tomorrow we will go over Self assessment reflections - hopefully improved and more convenient method for you to submit your reflections. It's also more resource efficient and provides an easier means for me to respond to everyone's SAR. Hope you have a happy Friday!

Algebra 3-4

Today you received the self assessment of skills/concepts covered last year. Please make sure you fill it out as honestly as possible so that we know which skills we need to take more time to cover and which skills are easy for everyone!

We also go through half of our review packet and will complete the other half on Thursday. Please make sure you have made a good attempt at completing it as this semester's material will rely heavily on the comprehension of Algebra 1-2 concepts. :)

First progress report which will be handed out Friday

AG-PC COMAP

So today you received CHALLENGE 1 for Unit 1 Lesson 1.

You will be presenting your plan on Thursday and we will be voting as a class on the best presented plan. Remember, you cannot vote for your own team! We haven't figured out what will happen for the people who get the most votes... but I'll we can figure something out. :) Have fun! Be creative!

First progress report which will be handed out Friday

AG-PC

Today's classwork consisted of P3 and P4.

P3 problems consisted of #'s 4n+2, where n=0,1,2,...
P4 problems consisted of #'s 5n+5 where n=0,1,2,...

Keep in mind we have 10 practice sections and only 4 days to complete them. :) We may just get through P8... but if you have any questions, make sure they are getting answered in class! Trig. really does require a good understanding of a lot of concepts you learned in Algebra.

A participation grade for the practices will be taken on Friday. It will be included on your first progress report which will be handed out Friday!

Calculus I

Today was P2 time. Problems to be worked were #'s 4n+1 where n=0,1,2,...

Remember: We need to complete P1-P3 by Friday. :) A participation grade for the practices will be taken on Friday. It will be included on your first progress report which will be handed out Friday!

Algebra 3-4

First day of review...

You were given a 2 page review packet and was allowed to work throughout the whole class period. If it wasn't completed, then the remainder was to be finished and brought in tomorrow!

AG-PC (COMAP)

First day of stuff!

We talked about maximizing gain and minimizing loss!

Started the Gridville, fire department location planning activity... everyone made their own plan for the most efficient city.

Tomorrow we will work in groups using the grid that is provided in the text to plan THE MOST EFFICIENT set up. We'll let each group present, and we'll figure out what the most efficient setup really is.

AG-PC

First day of review...

We worked on P1-P2 sections of the review today. The assignment was:

P1: pp. 9-11; #'s 5-100 (x5)
P2: pp. 22-24; #'s 9-180 (x9)

Remember, the goal is to get through at least P8 by Friday! We can do it!

Calculus I

First day of review...

Aside from Bennett, who was the only person who completed the whole review over the weekend because he thought it was due today, everyone else worked on the following assignment:

P1: pp. 8-9; #'s 1-4,7,9-11,17,23,25,27,29,32,37,38,45,49,51,54,55,59,61,63,65,67,69,71,73,74,77,78,81-84 (this should be completed along with P2 before class on Thursday)
